Narrow at the Waist

This display cabinet was made from Brush Box veneer that I cut from timber I had milled up. I kiln dried the boards then re-sawed them into veneers that I put through my wide belt sander. The veneers form the inner & outer layer of the sides of the cabinet, whilst the inner core is Hoop pine bendy ply. The doors posed a difficult hinging situation because of curve of the sides of the cabinet. The hinge point needed to be past where the curve projected into the cabinet. My signature carved handles, LED lighting inside the display cabinet with a natural oil finish completed this piece.
