Bim Morton’s Tree-O Furniture Gallery is an artisan gallery showcasing timber furniture, paintings, ceramics, sculpture and jewelry, all produced in the beautiful Mid North Coast of NSW.
Bim makes bespoke furniture onsite in his workshop attached to the gallery. Bim also has an amazing range of timber that you can view, either to buy for your own project or have commissioned into a heirloom piece by Bim.
One of Bim’s first memories of woodwork is as a small boy on the woodwork benches at the pre-school kindergarten he attended. As he grew taller he acquired some woodwork skills especially when he got a job in a joinery in his gap year, 1984. As he looks back, he realizes that the year he attended university was his gap year, and a sheditary life was where he belonged. As he grew wider, he learnt the design awareness and practical skills that give his pieces that distinctive Bim flavor.
Fifty five years since starting woodwork at preschool, Bim is enjoying this time of his life when he is all grown up and is fully present with the knowledge and skills that his life with wood has taught him. He is able to tap back into the little boy full of wonder at the kindergarten woodwork bench and fully commit to making stuff.
