Lyndley McColl

My art practice began about thirty years ago under the tutorship of Barry and Lucy McCann in Armidale, New England. I started classes as a less expensive way of having counselling in a complex and busy family life. It helped enormously. My thoughts stayed with my art and rested ‘my noisy head’!

I now live in Urunga, on the Mid-North coast of NSW and paint and draw daily. I enjoy teaching my grandchildren to use watercolour in their art.

Watercolour is my medium. My passion is to show the beauty of animals, especially birds, familiar to us all, and perhaps passed over because of that familiarity.
